Professional Summary:

As an assistant clinical professor board-certified in emergency medicine, I split my time clinically between Buffalo General Medical Center and the VA of Western New York. I enjoy the wide breadth of clinical presentations and acuity as well caring for a diverse patient population. As an emergency medicine (EM) physician, I have the privilege of caring for any patient that comes to our department, regardless of any internal or external factors that have led them to seek care. I have the honor of meeting them, establishing a rapport, and delivering the highest quality care I possibly can.

When I am not working clinically, I can be found in the Office for Student & Academic Affairs where I joined the team in July 2022 as Assistant Dean. I transitioned to this role after spending just over 4 years as the clerkship director in EM. While I oversaw all of our EM electives at the medical school, I grew to love working with and advising students on their individual paths. Undergraduate medical education has become my passion and I am committed to supporting any student on their journey to find their own passion in medicine.

I serve on the Curriculum and Phase 2 committees focusing on how our curriculum addresses student and community needs, collaborating with faculty to review our courses and create change. As the school embarks on a total redesign of our medical curriculum, I have had the honor of being a part of the core curriculum design team as we strive to give our students the best, most integrated, comprehensive, and modern curriculum possible!

While I am not a native Buffalonian, I have been grateful to become a part of this community and to raise my young family in a city that is so proud and passionate as it strives to grow and affect positive change.
