Professional Summary:

After graduating with honors at Washington University and Saint Louis University Medical School, I completed an internship in general surgery and a urologic residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. I am certified by the American Board of Urology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and I am an active member of the American Medical Association, American Urological Association, National Board of Examiners, Medical Society of the State of New York, and Erie County Medical Society.

As a Clinical Professor and the Chair of the Department of Urology at the State University of New York at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, I am responsible for the growth and development of the faculty, residents, and medical students working in urology. With a strong focus on developing research opportunities for students and patients, I collaborate with experts in nanotechnology and immunology to support cutting edge research in prostate cancer detection and treatment. I was honored as the first recipient of the State University of New York at Buffalo Department of Urology Resident Education Award, presented by the Urology residents in June of 2010.

As the President of Western New York Urology and Cancer Care of Western New York, I lead the continued development of the practice, including community and academic collaborations, clinical research, community outreach, and utilizing cutting edge technology in the diagnosis and treatment of cancers and other urologic conditions. As part of an active community out reach program, my practice sponsors prostate cancer screening events for patients in medically underserved areas of Western New York. I‘m also the Chief of Service for Urology at Erie County Medical Center, where I champion patient access to urologic care and oncologic screening.

Outside of medicine, I contribute my time to numerous professional organizations and committees, including Great Lakes Health System Professional Steering Committee, American Medical Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, American Urological Association (AUA) including the Northeastern Section of the AUA and the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons.
