Dr. Mayada Ismail joined UBMD Internal Medicine and University at Buffalo, Division of Gastroenterology Hepatology & Nutrition as a Clinical Assistant Professor in October, 2021. She trained in Internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General and gastroenterology and hepatology at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Medical Center.
Dr. Ismail has a strong passion for teaching and education. She served as an educational chief during both her residency and fellowship. Her ongoing research is focused on virtual cognitive endoscopy training.
Dr. Ismail’s clinical practice is general gastroenterology. Areas of interest are obesity in GI, therapeutic endoscopy and women’s health in the GI field.
