Due to COVID-19, if you or your child are experiencing any symptoms, please call our office before coming to your scheduled appointment.
Our Division sees patients at the pediatric outpatient center in Conventus located in Buffalo and provides consultations to inpatients at Oishei Children’s Hospital. All specialists are available to help manage the complete spectrum of infectious diseases common to children. We teach graduate and medical students and perform 300 to 400 inpatient and outpatient consultations annually.
Our Division also works with Home Care Services to manage patients on home antibiotic therapy.
Our division provides guidance on the latest innovations in our field by being actively involved in research. Members of our division are involved with clinical investigation of infectious diseases including Kawasaki disease, COVID-19, multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), and Hepatitis C. Members of our division have active translational and basic science research programs on the study of viruses (HIV), vaccine development (Lyme and HIV), and how the immune system responds in children (Kawasaki disease, MIS-C).
We work closely with the bacteriology, virology and molecular diagnostics laboratories on the development and application of new diagnostic tests.
More information on faculty research can be found on our physician's pages.
