I practice primarily as an attending physician in the Emergency Department at Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute. I am also the Associate Medical Director of the Emergency Department. I work alongside the hospital and health system leadership to help improve the emergency care delivered to patients of Western New York.
I have a special interest in the management of neurologic emergencies such as acute stroke, retinal artery occlusions, and status epilepticus. I am honored to be able to work alongside the Buffalo General Medical Center Stroke Quality Committee as well as the Western New York Regional Stroke Committee.
I am also very passionate about medical education. I work closely with the Emergency Medicine Residents in several ways including as a mentor, giving regular didactic lectures at Grand Rounds, teaching procedural skills in sim and cadaver labs, and a lot of on-shift teaching. My focus as a medical educator has been to improve the way feedback is given to residents and medical students. In the Fall of 2024, I began pursuing a Master's of Science in Medical Education at University of Pennsylvania to help continue to build my skills as a professional educator. I am excited to use the new skills and techniques I learn back in Buffalo!
