Professional Summary:

Dr. Bart is dual-board certified in Emergency Medicine and EMS with specialty training in several areas of operational Emergency services. After completing residency at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo and Dr. Bart received fellowship training in Emergency Medical Services through SUNY at Buffalo. Currently, Dr. Bart works as an attending physician in the Emergency Department at the Erie County Medical Center and work with local and state EMS organizations on protocol, policy and operational performance. Dr. Bart is and assistant clinical professor/faculty for the Emergency medicine residency and EMS fellowship through SUNY at Buffalo. Dr. Bart currently provides medical direction to the Buffalo Fire Department and several other ALS and BLS local agencies.

Dr. Bart was a main contributor to the creation/invention of Mobilize Medical Systems before its acquisition by ZOLL Medical in 2019. Dr. Bart remains a consultant now working with ZOLL on Mobilize and other projects.

In addition, Dr. Bart is the Director of EMS operations for UB|MD Emergency medicine and operate as a field physician with the Buffalo Fire department and surrounding communities. Previously, a TEMS provider (Buffalo Police SWAT/Erie County SWAT/Niagara County ERT) and subject matter expert/instructor for the National Center of Security and Preparedness – delivering operational training programs for response to high consequence domestic events through the New York State Preparedness training center for several years. Dr. Bart is also a former certified Athletic Trainer with high school and collegiate experience.
