I am a Pediatric Intensivist with a special interest in medical simulation, hospital management, strategic planning, and project management.
I completed my pediatric residency at Cooper University Hospital, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. Following residency, I pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at BC Children’s Hospital, University of British Columbia, and Stollery Children’s Hospital, University of Alberta. My fellowship provided experience with a diverse patient population, including ECMO, post-surgical cardiac, transplant, and other complex medical and surgical cases. I have a strong interest in health care management, strategy, and leadership.
To expand my business knowledge, I completed a Master of Business Administration at the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business at the University of Missouri in 2022. I also participated in a leadership certificate program at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. I plan to continue developing my expertise in health care leadership to promote and advocate for optimal clinical care for children.
Over the past 15 years, I have held several administrative roles, including leading an in-situ simulation program, serving as the Division and Medical Director of Pediatric Critical Care, and the Medical Director of Sedation and the Pediatric Transport Team. My experience includes developing medical simulation programs, providing safe educational opportunities, implementing quality metrics, improving systems and protocols for pediatric sedation services, and creating policies for pediatric critical care and transport teams.
Since joining Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in July 2023, I have collaborated with hospital administration to ensure 24/7 in-house attending coverage for the pediatric critical care unit. In April 2025, we partnered with Kaleida Health Care to launch the Pediatric Sedation Program in MRI. We plan to expand the Pediatric Sedation Program in coming months to include Interventional Radiology, the Botox program, minor surgical procedures, EEGs, lab work for patients with behavioral challenges, and GI endoscopy.
