My academic and clinical interests focus on advancing the field of abdominal organ transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery. As a multi-organ transplant surgeon specializing in kidney, pancreas, and liver transplantation, my scholarly work centers on improving surgical techniques, optimizing donor organ utilization, and enhancing outcomes for patients undergoing complex transplant procedures.

My research interests include donor and recipient selection, strategies to expand the donor pool, and perioperative management in high-risk transplant recipients. I am particularly interested in the evaluation and utilization of marginal organs, including extended-criteria donors and organs with prolonged cold ischemia times, as well as the impact of donor pathology findings on transplant outcomes.

In addition to transplantation, I have a strong academic focus on complex hepatobiliary surgery, including advanced liver resections and bile duct reconstruction techniques. My scholarly activities also explore surgical innovation, technical refinement in liver and biliary reconstruction, and multidisciplinary approaches to the management of hepatobiliary malignancies.

Through my clinical work, research collaborations, and scholarly contributions, I aim to improve surgical outcomes, expand access to transplantation, and advance the field of hepatobiliary and transplant surgery for both adult and pediatric patients.
