Kristopher P. Clark

UBMD Internal Medicine

Professional Summary:

I specialize in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. I provide care to patients with lung diseases at UBMD Internal Medicine outpatient pulmonary clinics. I also care for critically ill patients in the ICU at Buffalo General and provide pulmonary consultation services at Buffalo General and the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

My clinical and academic interests include interstitial lung disease (ILD) and supplemental oxygen therapy. I facilitate our monthly Interstitial Lung Disease Multidisciplinary Meeting which consists of pulmonologists, radiologist, pathologist, rheumatologists, and medicine trainees who review complex ILD cases to develop consensus recommendations on diagnosis and treatment. I am the primary investigator for the UB ILD Registry and the site primary investigator for the MOMENTOUS clinical trial which is evaluating early detection of pulmonary hypertension. I am also the recipient of a 2-year K12 career development award supporting a pilot study on the use of ambulatory oxygen therapy in ILD and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). I am a member of the American Thoracic Society Supplemental Oxygen Interest Group. Results of my research have been presented at regional, national, and international conferences.

In addition to ILD, I also see patients with COPD, asthma, and other acute and chronic pulmonary conditions.
