An article in Newsweek about a Florida man who was high on erotic-themed whippets when he crashed a car and killed a lawyer, included commentary from Kenneth Leonard. Leonard described how whippets have taken a back seat, in terms of usage and public policy, to other illicit drugs. “I haven't heard much about whippets for some time either. Opioids, heroin, and fentanyl, along with cannabis and synthetic cannabinoids remain among the top concerns (along with alcohol and tobacco),” Leonard said.
