Some concussions children or young athletes experience could be avoided, but not all.

Osman Farooq, MD visited WGRZ's WNY Living to provide details on techniques to reduce the risk of concussions, and what to watch for if they may have occurred.

Dr. Farooq is the division chief of Pediatric Neurology at UBMD Neurology, a member of UBMD Physicians' Group.

Dr. Farooq is also an assistant professor at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.
